8+ hours of contra dancing!  A premier contra dance event, featuring nationally renowned bands and callers and a beautiful historic dance hall.

Please use fragrances sparingly or not at all. Contrastock is being called with the non- gendered dance role terms: Larks and Robins

WHERE: Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park, MD.  Directions to Glen Echo Park

WHEN: Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm (with a break for a potluck dinner).

FOOD: The famous Contrastock potluck is back! Bring a clearly labeled dish to share and enjoy a meal in the park with fellow dancers. 

ACCESSIBILITY: all venues are accessible

Wellness policy: Contra dance is a close contact activity and germs love dancing too! Stay home if you are unwell the day of Contrastock. Full refunds will be provided.

The CDC currently recommends yearly COVID boosters for all individuals 6 months and older. Please consider adding a COVID booster to your vaccination list if you have not already, for our immunocompromised dancer friends, and for yourself.

VOLUNTEER

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Volunteers pay only $30 in exchange for around a 1.5 - 2 hour shift. Tasks include: the front desk, sweeping, and handing out T-shirts. To become a volunteer, select the Volunteer ticket during checkout. An organizer will reach out to you afterwards.
